With great thanks to the Channel Hastings photo group who kindly donated usage of their great photos, and helped make the widget work.

We are still here, so please contact us if you want our attention.

The Festival planning is going on in the background, but we don’t have a huge amount of interesting stuff to say just right now.

But we will…Cocktails-Jack-Rose-3up

We are doing the dancin’ now so you can do the dancin’ next summer!

That’s it for this year, (or at least, that’s it from the public’s POV). Wasn’t it great? A big, a huge vote of thanks to all at GCSL Forum for the vast amount of work, of blood, sweat and tears they all put in.

Do you have any pics, any nice stories from the day? How about someone who deserves that little extra thanks? Send ‘em in and we’ll put them up, while it’s fresh!

cake2

For those with a sweet tooth, (that means you), St Leonards Festival will have cakes, pastries, sweets, and all sorts of great sweet things from all over Sussex, and the world. Diet next year.

chopsticks

St Leonards Festival moves all the way to the east with a selection of Chinese and Japanese food, all the very best found in Sussex. Try the delights of sushi before your fish and chips, or have sushi and chips and start something new, (it’ll be bigger than balti..).

satay

Moving further east with the St Leonards Festival food selection: satay from Malaysia, along with noodles and a scrumptious choice of vegetable and meat based specialties. They have to be tasted to be believed. Get here early for a busy munching day.

Never let it be said that the St Lens Festival doesn’t cater for everyone. There will be an extensive array of vegetarian dishes on the Kings road, as part of all the international cuisines, and specifically as tasty, tasty vegetable stir fries, and salads.

Destination one for the hungry discerning vegetarians and vegans.

Carrying on our theme, food luverly food, The Kings Road will also have representation from the Indian sub continent, both for vegetarians and meat eaters. Again the St Leonards Festival will provide an array of food unseen in Sussex or the south coast this summer.

fish-and-chips

The St Leonards Festival will have an array of great food from the four corners of the world, celebrating the diversity of our bit of Britain, and how we like a good munch.

First up has to be Fish & Chips. Forget all those overrated places you read about in travel guides, they are for tourists. We have the very best on Kings Road. Check ‘em out on Saturday.

Gill, (55 Kings Road), who is a bespoke frame, art (and Guitar) specialist shop, is celebrating local St Leonards artists at the festival. Her Gallery already has a fantastic selection of work from local artists, and will be open all through the festival, along with a couple of stalls.

gill

St Leonards is fast becoming a centre for artists in England, and part of the extraordinary depth of talent is already on displays at Gills.

Seascapes, still lives, watercolours, photographs, and more; more.
